I have yet to meet a woman who would agree with Ovid’s statement made some three thousand years ago that “men should not care too much for good looks; neglect is becoming.” After all, who wants to kiss a flaking, dehydrated skin with shaving rash & spots? A rough skin might not turn the boss off–unless she’s a woman–but this is a very competitive society and if the stress and fatigue show, your boss might decide you are looking a bit rough and give the promotion to someone else–someone with a bright and clean image.
